How to take a proper reading
- Rest: Sit quietly for 5 minutes before taking a reading.
- Position: Sit with back supported, feet flat on the floor, and arm supported at heart level.
- Avoid: Do not consume caffeine, exercise, or smoke within 30 minutes prior.
- Empty Bladder: A full bladder can falsely elevate readings.
- Multiple Readings: Take 2-3 readings, one minute apart, and average the results.
